Summer may be just the time to browse our church library and take home selections to refresh and inspire.  The check out process is posted in the library. A collection of magazines is also available.    Thank you to the

members who have recently donated books to the library.   They will soon be cataloged and ready for reading.  Please do not take anything that has not been cataloged as there is no card to note who has taken the material.  Thank you and enjoy your reading.    Carol Gonzales, acting librarian.

Come check out our Library!

Many of you are contributing to the general church budget AND making additional financial contributions to the Growing Today for Tomorrow Capital Campaign.  May God bless you for your generosity.

As you may know, our capital campaign has already paid for several items.  Here is a list of what has already been accomplished.

· Purchase and installation of an outdoor electronic display sign ($20,000)

· Reduction of debt owed on our church building ($10,000)

· Purchase of media equipment for the sanctuary ($6,000)

· Reduction of debt owed on our church building ($3,000)

Our next goal is to purchase a modular building which will be used to house the church offices.  The space currently being utilized for offices will be converted to meeting space for our children and youth.  The projected cost for this project is $50,000.  As of April 27, $19,500 has already been donated toward this project.

If you are able to pay ahead on your 2008 or 2009 pledge, please consider doing so.   Early payments will help us move more quickly toward our goal of better ministering to the children and youth God has entrusted to us.

Update: Growing Today for Tomorrow Capital Campaign

When the Congregational Care Committee was asked to be in charge of the food for the Centennial Celebration, I knew it would be a big  job.  It was, but with the generous help of the congregation the job was made much easier.

Thank you, to all who helped to make the reception such a success.  To all who donated money and food, who volunteered to be greeters, servers and clean up crew, I say a very special thank you.  To my committee members I say thank you!  Thank you!  Without your tireless commitment, this committee could not function.  Again, thanks everyone.
