In His Steps Shoe Ministry: 25 Years of Helping Children

Last school year, EFUMC provided about 265 pairs of NEW shoes to needy school children. In 2017-18, we were able to bless approximately 690 children!

Edinburg CISD helps us by identifying students in need. We partner with a local shoe store to provide $25 gift cards for students to purchase brand new shoes, sometimes the very first pair of new shoes a child has ever worn. Learn more about In His Steps here.

Walk in the footsteps of Jesus and help the needy children of our community by supporting the In His Steps ministry. Donate on-line using PayPal here. Or place your donation in the offering plate during worship. Be sure to designate your donation for In His Steps.

URGENT! (Update)
Sacred Heart Humanitarian Respite Center is in urgent need of donations for refugees:
  • Hygiene products--toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, travel size shampoo & conditioner, lotion, feminine products, deodorant, combs, brushes
  • Baby supplies--diapers, wipes, baby bottles
  • Clothing--new socks and underwear; new or lightly used clothing and shoes of all sizes (adult and child)
  • Snacks--individually packaged food, bottled water, plastic sandwich bags to pack food
Place donation items in the Sacred Heart bin in the church foyer or consider donating a Walmart or HEB gift card. Place gift card or monetary donations in the offering plate during worship. Be sure to designate the donation for Sacred Heart Refugees.
