Beginnings

In His Steps developed 25 years ago as a result of a Bible study class on helping our neighbors. Since then, Edinburg First UMC has helped thousands of needy school children get brand new shoes to start the school year.

Community Connections

EFUMC connects with Edinburg CISD Parental Involvement department to identify students most in need. Together with a local shoe store, EFUMC issues $25 vouchers for new shoes. Sometimes, these are the very first pair of new shoes a child has ever owned.

Ministry Growth

Last year, we provided 690 needy children with brand new shoes.

With your help, we know we can help even more needy children in our community.

Overhead

100% of donations to In His Steps go toward purchasing vouchers. Edinburg First UMC absorbs all administrative costs related to this ministry.

You can Donate online using PayPal or CashApp ($EFUMC) . You can also leave donations in the offering plate during worship service or leave them in the church office. Be sure to designate your donation for In His Steps.
