Shoe Bank Story--We partner with the Parental Involvement Department at Edinburg School District to help students in need.  Here is how it works...Teachers, counselors, nurses, administrators at the schools identify students who need shoes and refer them to the Parental Involvement office.  The office reviews each request, finds out the student's shoe size, and the goes to Shoe Carnival to buy a pair of shoes.  The shoes are then quietly and respectfully given to the student, so their privacy is protected.  Every dollar donated goes directly toward buying shoes for the students!  

 

The district has 4 high schools, 7 middle schools, and 30 plus elementary schools.  The district encompasses 945 square miles.  In the last 30 years our church has given over $200,000 to the district.  Last year, our 30th year, we gave the district $32,570.  We give the district gift cards and they take them to Shoe Carnival and shop for the students.
